Tucked away in a small alley on the coast edge of San Lawrenz overlooking Dweijra, this unique Farmhouse has undergone a complete restoration by an renowned international artist and interior designer. Every room will play with your imagination which is what makes this home feel young and fresh and yet historic.
This large home flows over four floors and benefits from several different entertainment areas offering comfortable alfresco living throughout the day. From room to room the changing colour schemes and abundant light feeds the soul - inspiring living.
The entrance leads you into the grand hallway giving access to the lounge and the ground floor double bedroom with en-suite facilities which faces a beautiful central courtyard through glass doors. This south facing courtyard is dotted with bistro tables and chairs to follow or shade from the sun. The courtyard gives access to all the rooms downstairs to the 'Leaky Cauldron' grotto swimming pool as well as the upper floors.
Blue and white Mediterranean tiling combined with bright yellow woodwork sets the mood for the entire house. The arched lounge has access and windows into the courtyard and another onto the alley. A wood fire burner adds comfort and romance during winter.
The lounge is furnished with large club chairs, a Ralph Lauren Home chaise longue and a sofa. At the end of the lounge and up four steps through a very large arch you enter the dining area leading into the main kitchen where you will find high ceilings and the drama of a historic farmhouse can be found in all the details of the stonework.
The dining table sits eight under an imposing resin antler chandelier. The kitchen has access directly onto the central courtyard and has been equipped with a double ceramic sink, dishwasher, large fridge freezer, a second fridge and a Smeg cooker. This area has a large split system air conditioning unit and a ceiling fan too. Every room of this house is fitted with the latest split air conditioning to cool or heat depending on the season.
From the courtyard you can descend into the 'Leaky Cauldron'
- an underground level which features unaltered historic featured arches, metre thick stone walls and a big dollop of mystery. Here you will find the Dumbledore bedroom with its window into the courtyard and the entrance to the spell-binding arched grotto pool. The swimming pool has been installed with the latest technology of a salt-based filtration system.
Upstairs on the first floor the stonework is more delicate, windows are large, the rooms are flooded with light and the ceilings are very high. Here are the Minerva Mcgonagall master suite and the Aurora Sinistra double bedroom, both are en-suite and have their individual balconies overlooking the courtyard.
The three bathrooms are fitted with exquisite Mediterranean tile work that offset the bespoke wooden vanities to merge history with modern comfort. On the 2nd floor you will find a second BBQ kitchen fitted with a fridge, washing machine, tumble dryer and tableware.
A large alfresco dining terrace overlooking the nearby sea with a teak dining set and a barbecue. Finally, you will find a very large sunbathing and yoga rooftop with a breath-taking sea views from Dweijra Fungus Rock all the way to the lighthouse. This space is furnished with elegant cast aluminium sun loungers and ultra-thick cushions, side tables and a shady sun roof.
Every aspect of this house has been carefully designed to create a most exclusive experience.
